Kai Kono is Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of EDXM International, a Singapore based affiliated company backed by EDX Markets. In this role, he is responsible for growing EDXM International’s business and presence covering international non-US markets.
Kai has extensive experience in the crypto space. Prior to EDXM International, Kai was the CEO of Zodia Custody Singapore, a digital asset custodian and subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank. Prior to Zodia Custody Singapore, Kai was Managing Director and Global Head of Digital Asset Sales at BitGo, a licensed qualified custodian based in the US. From 2018-2021, Kai was Chief Business Officer for Liquid Exchange, a Japan FSA licensed global exchange.
Prior to crypto, Kai worked for Google in Japan in a strategy role, and he has also spent over 10 years in investment and corporate banking across Bank of America (Merrill Lynch) and Lehman Brothers. He is a graduate of The University of British Columbia with a degree in Commerce.

Prior to that role, Rakesh was with global and regional financial institutions like ANZ, SCB, RHB and Worldpay as Compliance and Financial Crime Leader, Head of FCC and Compliance Director. Rakesh’s experience is broad, covering responsibilities in compliance advisory, customer onboarding, investigations, operations, management, training, process automation, controls optimization, regulatory remediation & strategic transformation, and regulatory liaison-ship. Rakesh has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from ANU.

Peter Colven is Chief Operating Office for APAC at Citadel.
Peter Colven is the APAC Chief Operating Officer of Citadel. He is responsible for the firm’s key corporate functions in the Asia Pacific region and is Chair of Citadel’s Regional Operating Committees.
Prior to joining Citadel, Peter spend 21 years at Goldman Sachs across its London, Tokyo and Hong Kong offices. He worked in a number of roles within the Global Markets and Asset Management divisions, including the most recent positions of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer in Global Markets for APAC.
Peter received a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from the University of London Royal Holloway College.
Ramesh Arumugam is Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Virtu Financial.
Mr Arumugam started his career in the fintech arm of NYSE Euronext, where he developed a deep understanding of low latency trading systems and market data. He subsequently joined SGX in 2013 and worked in a number of roles at the firm within the clearing and trading sales divisions, including being posted to London to look after their European business development.
Following his stints in technology, clearing and trading, Mr Arumugam joined Virtu in Nov 2020 as their Head of Business Development in Asia. In Aug 2023, he was appointed as Managing Director, Asia Pacific.
